I usually don’t like runners’ bodies (when they’re too masculine and too lean) but this girl is in GREAT shape! Love love love!

New month coming up soon! Plus it’s mid-year, no less! So I’m calling this, personally, Jessica Alba June! Because I want a body like Jessica Alba’s. And I’m being realistic here. Because as much as I’d love Candice Swanepoel’s body, my body proportions are much closer to Alba’s than to Swanepoel’s (you lucky people with super lanky long limbs!!!)
So what does this mean? It doesn’t mean any crazy diets or detoxes. Simply means clean eating:
- Pre-planned 4-6 meals a day
- No sugar
- Minimum dairy
- Low carb
- High protein
- Lots of veggies
Team that with exercise, and June is set to be a good month! =) YAY!

HEALTHYSNAX UPDATE FROM NELLA!
Okay guys, so you know how I said I’d be posting updates on my new health pledge? Well here’s one! I’ve come down with a cold so I’m now boosting my immunity with things like garlic and herbs…yummy right? Haha!
I’ve been pretty good the last few days - I’ve controlled my eating and have satisfied cravings with smaller, healthier alternatives. I’ve been practicing moderation (eg. Eating oats now, but limiting to max 50g a day! My focus is to get way more veggies into my diet, just like the way it used to be before!
Yep, that’s my update so far ^_^
GOALS - IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY TO START!
Okay, so tomorrow is a Thursday (Not a Monday or anything like the usual ‘I’ll start on Monday’), but I am going to have updates for you guys again - daily progress ones (in writing on Tumblr and in pics on Instagram)! I’m going to go fully Paleo again for a month (with the exception of rare ‘eating-out’ occasions). My goal is to achieve my dream body and I think I can make my way there in a month - not the whole way, but definitely halfway!
Here are little rules for myself:
- No dairy or grains
- Very low carb
- Less salt
- NO sugar
- No over-eating AT ALL - Staying between 1500-2000 cals a day
- High Protein
- Cardio 7 hours a week in total
- Weights 3 days a week (20-30 min sessions)
- Stress eating solutions (when studying, trying to complete assignments : no resorting to food/binging - instead have coffee, tea, fresh veggies, watch a tv show for a break, go for a walk)
- Intermittent fasting every 2nd/3rd day
This is basically how last week went for me, until study-stress got the best of me (I can bet you anything, I’ll get questions like ‘That’s why you resorted to binging, because you ate low carb, and your body NEEDS carbs!’ - Well, to that I say - your body doesn’t actually need carbs, do your research =) But anyway, for that whole week I felt SO good and SO happy, you’ve no idea! And I lost fat and felt stronger and more energized!
Starting from tomorrow - Who’s keen to do a little challenge similar to this (give or take a few rules) with me?
My Ideal Day:
Used to be:
- Wake up at 9am
- Have some hot water with lemon
- Eat a breakfast of rye bread with cucumber
- Do 1hour treadmill
- Watch some TV
- Do some study
- See some friends
- Have some salad for lunch
- Watch some TV
- Go to bed at midnight
Ew, that’s how I used to love it…But NOW:
- Wake up at 5:45am
- Have a cup of coffee and some Vit-C
- Hit the gym at 6:15 and do 1hr cardio and 20-30 mins weights
- Come home to a high protein breakfast of eggs to break my intermittent fast
- Relax a bit
- Smash out some study
- Cook a healthy lunch - veggies and a lean protein
- Do some reading/blogging/TV series watching
- Have a health dinner similar to lunch
- Spend time with my boyfriend and/or friends
- Have some tea
- Go to bed at 10
…What an improvement!!!!

A bit about the book : THE HONEST LIFE
I love the book because although there are a lot of tips and tricks and sad realities that I already knew of, it’s really nice to see Jessica Alba’s thoughts on these issues. There are plenty of healthy little recipes and charts which show what’s healthy and what’s not!
Best of all, the book is so easy to navigate, so when you finish reading it, you can always go back to it and use it as a mini simple go-to source if you’re questioning a certain product/food.
I HIGHLY recommend you guys go borrow it or buy it, because it’s definitely worth a read! =)
